Casablanca · Rabat
Airport pickup, the Hassan II mosque and the corniche, then north to the capital. Night in Rabat.

Rabat · Meknes · Volubilis · Fes
The Kasbah of the Udayas and the Chellah, Meknes' monumental gates, Moulay Idriss and Roman Volubilis. Fes by evening.

Fes
A full day in Fes el-Bali with a local guide, ending at the Merinid tombs for the call to prayer across the medina.

Fes · Chefchaouen
North into the Rif. An afternoon and evening in the blue medina after the day trippers have gone. Night in Chefchaouen.

Chefchaouen · Ifrane · Midelt
South again through Fes and up into the Middle Atlas — Ifrane, the Azrou cedars and the Barbary macaques. Night in Midelt.

Midelt · Ziz Valley · Merzouga
The Tizi n'Talghomt and the long descent through the Ziz palm valley. Camel ride into Erg Chebbi, dinner and a night in the camp.

Merzouga · Todra · Dades
Sunrise on the dunes, then Rissani, Erfoud, the Todra gorge and up into the Dades. Night in the valley.

Dades · Ouarzazate · Aït Ben Haddou · Marrakech
The Valley of Roses and Skoura, Ouarzazate, a long afternoon at the ksar, then over the Tizi n'Tichka. Night in Marrakech.

Marrakech · Essaouira
A morning in the medina — Bahia, the Saadian tombs, the souks — then west through the argan forest to the Atlantic. Night in Essaouira.

The ramparts and the fishing port in the morning, then inland to Marrakech, or on to Casablanca for your flight.
