The Tizi n'Tichka pass climbs to 2,260 metres through switchbacks and Berber hamlets before dropping into a different country entirely — bare, red, enormous. Aït Ben Haddou is a UNESCO ksar of stacked earth towers, still lived in. Ouarzazate has the studios and the Taourirt kasbah.
